Solo Tour in Germany this Autumn

Germany is home to the most extravagant Baroque Schlosser (palaces) in the world. Apart from its World War II history and the famous Oktoberfest, the culture and natural beauty perhaps defines the essence of vacationing in this beautiful country. The best time to visit Germany is the autumn season, as it is the time of wine and harvest festivals. Here we bring you the most beautiful German destinations to visit this fall.

1. Berlin

The first destination to visit in Germany would be Berlin. This exquisite place has the charm to woo any traveller. You can take a flight to reach to Berlin and check in at one of the most comfortable hotels such as Adina Apartment Hotel, Park Inn or the Grand Hyatt. The best places to check out in Berlin would be the Memorial of the Berlin Wall, Topography of Terror, Museum Island and Treptower Park. Do not forget to explore the Grunewald forest and shop at the flea market in Mauer Park. When it comes to delicious cuisines, you got to try out Currywurst, a traditional dish that has been tickling the taste buds since the 1930s.

2. Munich

Your next stop would be Munich, which is just 6 hours train ride from Berlin. As soon as you reach there, check in at the Holiday Inn Munich, Ibis Styles or Hilton Munich City. After resting for a while, you can start exploring the city. Don't forget the Oktoberfest and chug down all the German beer you want. After spending a whole day at this festival, you can opt for some calmness at the English Garden the next day, reading your favourite novelette or just bird watching. If you yearn for the throttling monsters, then the BMW Museum would be just the thirst quencher for you. Also, the Dean & David will give you their healthy Bite of Joy, to not let you forget your love for fast food.

3. Hamburg

You can once again take a train ride from Munich and reach Hamburg within 6 hours. However, once you enter Hamburg, you might feel you are in Venice. Why? Well, with experiencing the waterways running through the city, you won’t ask this question again. In order to take some rest before you begin exploring this city, check in at Park Hyatt, Hamburg Marriott Hotel or Barcelo Hamburg. Once you have charged up, don't just snooze your alarm, just start discovering this exquisite city by checking out the Port of Hamburg, Kunsthalle Hamburg and the inner and outer Alster. After all the exploring, you can grab a bite at Estancia Steaks or Lokal.

4. Frankfurt

Your next destination must be Frankfurt, where you can reach in a few hours by train. For a relaxing stay check in at Hotel Excelsior, Hotel InterContinental, or Villa Kennedy. Once you get set and ready to discover this city, start by exploring the Staedel Museum, Mainkai Street and Goethe House. If you love theatre then how about watching a show at the English Theatre. Also, if you are an avid reader then you definitely cannot miss the International Book Fair at Frankfurt. For a hearty meal, relish the food at Classico or Sonamu.

5. Dresden

Your last stop would be Dresden, where you can reach easily by train. As soon as you reach, you can get some rest at the Swissotel Dresden, Bulow Palais or Hotel Kipping. Once you are all charged up, start your journey by visiting the Pillnitz Castle, Zwinger, Blue Wonder and last but not the least Neurathen Castle. After you are done exploring, it's time for Bon appetit at either the Restaurant Daniel or Restaurant Stresa or Lila Sosse which are certain to calm down the butterflies in your stomach. Done and dusted, you can take a flight home the next day from Dresden.

Germany is a country full of magnificent architectures, history and monuments. It will be worth travelling these above cities at least once. So you can now stop yawning and drooling over your workstation as it’s high time that you packed your bag (even a rug sack would do) and took the next flight to Germany!
